 Forum-Wide Plot
« Thread Started on Nov 7, 2006, 6:30pm »

Remember, this plot is OPTIONAL. You do NOT have to participate in this, but we would like you to. If you're a canon character mentioned, you MUST participate. If not, it is still optional.

There may be some words in here you do not understand, so please check out our Yakuza Glossary.

NOTE: This is IN PLACE of the BATTLE CITY tournament. Remember this!!! Things will make more sense knowing that THIS IS IN PLACE OF THE BATTLE CITY SAGA!

Quote:
The Yakuza, a great and terrible organization of gangs in Japan, has different sects all over the country. With over 110,000 active members divided into 2,500 different families, the Yakuza is a formidable opponent, even for the toughest of men.

The Yamaguchi-Gumi is the largest Yakuza organization. The Yamaguchi-Gumi members are believed to be the wealthiest gangsters in the world, bringing in billions of dollars a year in various areas (i.e. gambling, prostitution, extortion, etc). The members will do almost anything to get money. Their headquarters is in Kobe, Japan, but they operate all over the country, and in Asia and the United States.

Duel-Monsters has such a large following, and because of this it has become an easy target for the Yamaguchi-Gumi. And now they have caught wind of three cards belonging to a certain young boy.

That's right, the Yamaguchi-Gumi has caught wind of Yugi's three God Cards, and they are willing to do almost anything to get it. They even have someone close to Yugi working every day on a plan to steal the cards away from him… but who would that person be?

Katsuya Jonouchi.

Jonouchi, the kobun of an oyabun of a gang of Yamaguchi-Gumi in the Wakayama prefecture, hasn’t been as careful about what he is doing as he thinks.

While hanging out at a local Yakuza bar, he was speaking to another kobun, when someone who wasn’t supposed to be there overheard the conversation. Jonouchi carelessly and boastfully told the other person about his mission to retrieve the God Cards for his oyabun.

The eavesdropper immediately left and went to the United States, telling her cohort, Pegasus J. Crawford, of what she had overheard. Pegasus, though he still had a grudge against and disliked Yugi, he was disturbed by this information. He knew that the Yamaguchi-Gumi would sell the cards on the Black Market, where the cards would probably end up in the hands of nobody good. Or worse, the cards would end up in the hands of somebody in the Yakuza a little too powerful for even Yugi to overcome.

And so, Pegasus sent his most feared and respected assassin, Kara Donatella, to guard Yugi at all costs. She must protect him or die trying... but will his darker side draw the usually emotionless and cold-hearted killer to him?

Pegasus and Kara both are members of the Sicilian Mafia. This particular sect of the mafia has caught wind of what the Yakuza is up to, and knowing the power of the God Cards, is trying to stop them. They are as secret as possible in their mission, not wanting to alert the Yakuza.

He also sent his daughter, Aneara, to keep an eye on Jonouchi, and to keep an eye out for anybody else who may be after Yugi or anybody associated with him. When she received valuable information, she is to report it back to her father, but never get involved… do children ever listen to their parents?

Yugi is being hunted by more than just the Yakuza. Old rival Seto Kaiba is still after those cards, and is up to his old tricks again. Sources say he is not in cahoots with the Yakuza, but sources can sometimes be wrong. Is he? If he isn’t, he faces grave danger. The Yamaguchi-Gumi is willing to do anything to get what they want, even if it means finishing off the CEO of one of Japan’s largest corporations.

Seto isn’t the last person, however. A tomb-keeper from Egypt, Malik Ishtar, is after him. Not for his God Cards, but for revenge. Malik believes that it was the pharaoh that killed his father, but in reality it was his darker half. Malik, aside from wanting revenge for his father, wants revenge on the pharaoh for keeping his family imprisoned underground for thousands of years to watch over his tomb.

So who else is after Yugi? Who else is taking sides? Who else will betray his trust?

If you want to be a part of the plot, please reply to this thread with your own story. Please try and keep it… decent. Try to have no more than 3 GOOD paragraphs.

A separate thread has been made for those who do not want to write themselves into the plot, but wish to take sides. PLEASE read that thread, for I will give more information on what I mean by “taking sides.” Please click here for that thread.

=) Thanks
